Valentine Card
I made this fun tag for my sister for Valentine's Day! I love wrinkle free Distress Technique with Tim Holtz Distress inks! She loved the tag and it is hanging on refrigerator!

Mixed Media Textures
I have been experimenting with different mediums and textures lately. I am first and foremost a huge Tim Holtz fan and use his products whenever possible. However, I have been experimenting with some other products for textured backgrounds in Mixed Media. In particular, Finnabair Crackle Paste, Color Bloom Spray, Brushos and Lindy's Magicals. I used a few of these in this mixed media piece to see how the background looked and if the colors would adhere or resist. I did use Ranger texture paste for the horizontal stripes as it will take color and not resist. I like the look of this piece!
Day of the Dead Tag
I made a Thank You tag for a Halloween Haunter friend using Tim Holtz Day of the Dead Stamp set. These stamps are fantastic and Day of the Dead is very colorful and festive. Using a paint resist technique, then Distress Inks for color and stamping of doilies in Wendy Vecchi Archival Inks.
I love the look!

Be My Valentine ATC's
I went to my very first ATC swap at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps! It was great fun and I made these ATC's ( Artist Trading Cards) for the swap! Using Tim Holtz Dies, Paints and Inks, I thought they turned out pretty good! Remember there are less than 300 independent craft stores! Support one in your local area by visiting it in person! They are gems that are slowly disappearing!

Going Back to Basics!
First I took a #12 Tag and used the Valentine Embossing Folder from Tim Holtz and embossed the tag. Then I ran a brayer with Distress Antique Linen paint over the raised parts of the tag. This technique is called paint resist technique. When you let the paint dry and go over it with ink, the paint will come through in a distressed look!
Make sure your tag with the paint is dry before you start on the second technique.
The second technique is wrinkle free distress and I love it! You just put some ink on your nonstick craft sheet and then spritz some water over the ink. You can slide your tag through the ink or press it down. I used Distress Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Vintage Photo and Tea Dye ink. Once you have done that, dry your tag with a heat tool and then you can go back and get the areas that you missed. Dry again with a heat tool.
I love this distressed look of ink and the paint! You can go back with a blending tool and add more color and some water drops if you like!
Next I cut out some chipboard and an old book page for the cupid and the heart. This die is from Tim Holtz and I love it!
I applied Distress Black Soot Ink to go around the tag. Then added Tim Holtz Ideaology metal embellishments.
In the end, I added red and silver embossing powder from Ranger to the heart. I thought it needed a little color and some chit chat words from Tim Hotlz.
I think that Distress Tea Dye is my new favorite color! It's fantastic and if you haven't used it, you need to! The great thing about mixed media is you can add or take away as much as you want! I used some hearts from my bead stash and just painted them the color I wanted. So that is it and I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial! Love and Peace!

February DT Mixed Media Mojo Challenge
February's theme for the Mixed Media Mojo Challenge is Love and the twist is
Wings!

I ventured out of my comfort zone of using tags and used a little canvas board, a metallic tag embossed with Tim Holtz embossing folder and Tim Holtz die. I used bits and pieces of nuts and bolts covered in black gesso and then dry brushed with Inka Gold metallics. The heart is a resin piece from Sandra Evertson Designs! Hope you like it!
